Back in my club kid days in NYC I ran around
the circuit as London Aviance. I loved
every minute and one of my first and greatest experiences (besides the
legendary Kevin Aviance Virginia native and my gay mother) was meeting The
Lady Bunny at the infamous lower east side dive, SAVE THE ROBOTS - I was co hosting
my first event with then DJ Alejandro Santos - I was awful and disappointed Mother Juan
because I spent the night entranced by the antics of Lady Bunny. Later
on every Wig Stock was a yearly spiritual event and her activism inspired me to
take up social causes like my party Chic
Pariah, raising money for discriminated GLBT NYC youth. And my dedication
to pride and the real meaning behind being an active member of community.
When Lady Bunny is in Virginia I hope to snag
an interview with her. What would YOU ask her?
Coming interviews:- Tom Goss, musician, singer/songwriter BACK TO LOVE, RISE, NAKED WITHOUT....
- Matt Alber, musician, singer/songwriter
- Dr. Charles Silverstein, author The Joy of Gay Sex and The New Joy of Gay Sex
